Coaches

Brendan Wolters

is a USAT Level 1 certified coach. Triathlon is what he loves to do and for the past two years has dedicated his life to the sport. Prior to moving out to San Diego Brendan lived in New York City and worked in the Investment Bank for Citi. In February of 2008 he quit his job and embarked on a solo cross country cycling trip leaving from St. Augustine, Florida and 39 days later arriving in San Diego, California. His goal was simple: begin a career involving the sport he loves. He currently works at Hi-tech bikes and has been coaching various levels of triathletes for the past year. In his own racing career Brendan has gradually improved his performance. In August of 2008, he finished 17th overall and 4th in his AG at the Vineman iron-distance race. In January of 2009 he finished 12th overall and 1st in his AG at the Carlsbad marathon. Brendan also raced Superfrog, a half ironman, and finished 2nd in his AG in March of 2009. He finished off his 2009 season placing 3rd in his Age Group at Ironman Cozumel qualifying for the 2010 Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.

Brent Roberts

is a Kinesiology graduate, fitness and endurance sports coach. For several years now, Brent has been working with individuals to help improve their health and fitness through exercise and nutrition, as well as coach individuals for endurance sports. Brent’s love for triathlons peaked in 2009, stemming from his love of Surfing. He has since sought to push the limits of his mind and body through extreme extra curricular activities such as these. In July of 2009 Brent placed 70th overall and 7th in his age group at the Solana Beach Sprint Triathlon. In August of 2009 he placed 91st overall and 5th in his age group at the Camp Pendleton Sprint Triathlon. Brent’s now training for long distance events and his ultimate goal is to qualify for the Ironman Championships in Kona, as well as the Race Across America and Badwater Ultramarathon.
